Miranda Lambert, 30
The country star swept the awards and stole the show...with her killer bod. Over the last two years, Lambert has dropped several dress sizes and toned up by performing metabolic exercises such as jumping jacks and toning moves using resistance bands. As for her diet, Lambert told Women’s Health magazine she tries to stay focused: “If I ate bad in the morning, I try to do better at night and vice versa, so I’m just not blowing it all day every day.”
Kacey Musgraves, 23
The "Follow Your Arrow" singer made waves at the 2014 CMAs for her big hair. But we love that she had the body confidence to rock an amazing minidress on stage for her surprise duet with Loretta Lynn, for which, she confessed backstage, she needed to go sans underwear (really!). To keep in shape Musgraves does yoga on the road with her band mates. “The steel player, Adam, is a great yoga teacher,” she told Popsugar. “He practices all the time, so we all bring our mats, find a quiet room, and do yoga."
Tim McGraw, 47
As Men’s Health wrote when they put him on the cover, “Ain't no room in that belly for a beer, and if you drove a pickup truck up those abs, you'd need new shocks by the time you crossed the pecs.” McGraw famously gave up drinking and lost 40 pounds. He reportedly adheres to a Paleo diet. As for exercise, he’s a fan of vigorous CrossFit-style workouts. "I'll be the first to admit I take it to extremes," the singer told Men’s Health, after knocking out a set of plyometric pushups that had him springing clear off the ground.
Faith Hill, 47
The country singer told fans she “doesn’t diet” in 2012, though she does watch what she eats, choosing high-protein foods. As for her long, lean body, Hill’s husband, Tim McGraw, told Taste of Country that the two play one-on-one basketball together to stay in shape. She told Fitness magazine that she must schedule her exercise sessions, “or I simply will find an excuse to not work out.”
Kimberly Williams-Paisely, 43
The “Nashville” TV star dazzled as she accompanied her husband, co-host Brad Paisley, down the red carpet. She makes fitness a priority, keeping her amazing abs as flat as they were 23 years ago when she played Annie Banks in “Father of the Bride." “I need to go to my yoga class—I love hot yoga!," she told Shape. “I work with a trainer and lift weights, plus I love to hike.”
Dierks Bentley, 38
Nominated for five awards, the country crooner dazzled on stage in a black t-shirt—and he took home the award for Best Music Video for his song “Drunk on a Plane.” The busy star stays in shape with good, old fashioned hockey, playing weekly with friends when he’s not touring. “Hockey’s like the most cardio-crazy workout you can get,” he told Country Weekly.
Ariana Grande, 21
Grande stepped out on stage in a crop top and mini skirt that lit up the stage—literally! She keeps her abs and legs toned with an active lifestyle and a focus on fitness. “I jog up to the Hollywood sign every weekend. It’s fun and what a view!” Grande told Shape. She also makes her rehearsals double as a cardio workout. “Nothing burns more calories than dancing in 5-inch heels…try it!”
Carrie Underwood, 31
Co-host Carrie Underwood’s baby bump seemed to just draw more attention to her awesome legs. And those killer stems are hard-earned. The go-to lower-body moves she shared with Glamour: skater hops, BOSU jumps, lunges and squats.
Lucy Hale, 25
The ‘Pretty Little Liars” star’s waistline looked extra svelte in a belted red dress by Ramona Keveza. Hale hones her waist with running and, more recently hot yoga. “I hate the heat, but having to stand still and relax has been really good for me,” she told Hollywood Life.
